Wrapping Ideas

One Flower Showing: The most intuitive way (and shown in the animation on our website) is to insert a mohair fastener through one buttonhole and keep buttoning the petals, one on top of the other until it is closed.  The end result is one singular flower on top.

Two Flower Showing: Slip one side of the flower fastening through a buttonhole and button it to the opposite side, with two flowers showing outward.  This will leave you four unbuttoned petals,  two on each side of the fastened petal.  Button the two petals on each side over the center fastener.  You can then have the petals lie down or match the edge of the two sides, making it stand out like a wrapped dumpling.

Three Flower Showing: You can also gather a set of two petals to button with three mohair flowers facing outward.  This can be done with the petals laying in sequence or you can match the edge of the three sets for a triangular look.

Wrapping Ideas:

One Flower Showing: Button the four inner short petals first, and then button the longer petals.  I like to button it with the petals across, instead of the petals next to, but it works either way.

One Flower Showing Alternative: Button the four inner petals, and then button a set of the longer petals. Slip each of the remaining 2 longer petals underneath each side of the longer buttoned petal.

Two Petal Arching Out: Button the inner petals. Gather two opposite long petals so its buttonholes are aligned.  Then slip the remaining two petals through from underneath, arching each petal upward and in opposite directions.

Three Petals Arching Out: Button the inner petals first.  Use one long petal as the anchor, and then insert the rest of the long petals from below. Spread the petals in three different directions and flare them outward.
